Harvest time: All year round (green cut, for vegetables)

A little quirky as a fruit, but once you get used to it, it's addictive and delicious♪

If you pour lemon juice and honey over it, mash it and freeze it, it turns into papaya sorbet!

The green unripe papayas are also used as vegetables.

It contains plenty of proteolytic enzymes and is an essential ingredient in meat and vegetable chanpuru, an Okinawan stir fly dish.
